His message comes across using real life examples with a straightforward style, and as a result, the message sticks in the memory of everybody that he encounters. Using his own experiences, his audience leaves understanding this fact that he is accomplishing his goals and enjoying his life and you can too.
Previous experience includesPTA president at Taft Elementary and Booster Club President at Eagle Heights Academy. He has been a motivation and inspiration to many in Youngstown.
Life After Prison Support Group
OSTL holds weekly sessions to educate groups of returning citizens on the various support systems set up & enable them to avoid recidivism, discuss issues they are facing, get available resources, and get one-on-one mentorship from someone who has walked in their shoes. (Every Monday and Thursday 5pm - 6pm)
Young Council For Leaders
Young adults needed to show leadership skills and encourage our youth the path of being a great leader. Every Tuesday at 5pm Ages 10-21
Active Partner with The Benefit Bank
OSTL assists low income households in preparing their income taxes, apply for public benefits and file for (FASFA) student aid applications.
Clothing Giveaway
OSTL accepts clothing (school uniforms), books and canned goods for young adults and children to give to families in need.
Job Placement Assistance
OSTL does have on-site resources for applicants to apply for jobs Monday - Friday.
Federal bonding program
A tool to help applicants get and keep jobs. It is sponsored by the U.S. Department of Labor.
Workshops and trainings
Topics include anger and stress management, conflict resolution, neighborhood revitalization, harassment and bullying, parenting skills and making positive choices.
Referrals
The outreach program provides information to people for medical and basic needs, housing and drug rehabilitation.
